Full Job Description
About the Role

This is the founding US hire for an open-source MLOps and AI agent infrastructure company, reporting directly to leadership. You will own the entire San Francisco presence, sitting at the intersection of community building, technical evangelism, and growth-oriented GTM, turning community signals into pipeline and reputation into measurable outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Launch and grow a recurring SF meetup from scratch into a must-attend event for the ML infrastructure community.
  • Represent the company credibly and technically at AI infrastructure meetups, hackathons, and conferences across the Valley.
  • Build relationships across the SF AI/ML community, acting as a connector who turns conversations into lasting partnerships.
  • Create and distribute technical content including talks, blog posts, social posts, and demo videos grounded in real community observations.
  • Demo a Python framework live in front of engineering audiences, answer technical questions, and engage confidently without relying on slides.
  • Instrument community and product signals (using tools like Mixpanel, GitHub, CRM, and enrichment platforms) into automated workflows so every conversation becomes a traceable lead.
  • Feed market intelligence back to product and GTM teams: what people are building, what frustrates them, and who is evaluating what.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years in DevRel, community building, growth, or developer-facing GTM, ideally at an early-stage or resource-constrained company rather than a large enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and run recurring community events (meetups, hackathons, conferences) with documented attendance growth and engagement metrics.
  • Track record of converting community or product activity into leads, partnerships, or other measurable business outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Python: able to demo a framework live, read production code, work with APIs, and troubleshoot in front of engineering audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with modern GTM tools, including CRM platforms, enrichment tools, automation workflows, and LLM-based outreach.
  • Experience integrating product usage signals, GitHub activity, and CRM data into automated lead-scoring and follow-up workflows.
  • Track record creating technical content (blog posts, demo videos, conference talks) that drives developer awareness and engagement.
  • Familiarity with open-source community dynamics, GitHub-native audiences, and contributor engagement strategies.
  • Existing network within the SF AI, ML infrastructure, or MLOps community and a visible personal or professional brand.
  • Self-directed and comfortable operating solo with minimal oversight, ideally with founder experience or a strong track record of building from zero.
  • Genuine interest in AI engineering, ML infrastructure, or agent-infrastructure ecosystems.
  • Based in San Francisco or fully committed to relocating; this role requires on-site presence.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location

On-site in San Francisco, United States. In-person presence is a core requirement of this role.
