about the role

The Designer - Soft Accessories is responsible for the creative design and development of total soft accessories across the mainline collection, creating considered, functional and commercially relevant product across a diverse range of product types.

Working within lululemon's design ethos, you will translate creative direction and brand identity into innovative and functional product. You will bring strong knowledge of cut-and-sew construction and specialist accessory applications, with experience across areas such as gloves, caps and headwear, moulded product, and hard hair.

You will collaborate closely with design partners within the Accessories Design team, as well as Women's and Men's Design, to contribute to cohesive head-to-toe outfitting. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will take ownership of assigned product and design work from initial research and concept through design development, fittings, prototyping, and final execution.

This role is well-suited to a multifaceted, highly organized designer who balances creative thinking with technical problem solving, bringing curiosity, collaboration, and attention to detail across multiple products and priorities.

As a collaborative member of the team, you will also support more junior designers through knowledge sharing and day-to-day guidance, contributing to a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

what you'll do
  • Design across soft accessories and hard hair, creating refined, functional product that supports a modern, head-to-toe wardrobe.
  • Take ownership of assigned products through the seasonal design process, from research and concept development through sketch, prototype, fit, and final execution.
  • Research relevant global cultural, aesthetic, sport, and lifestyle trends, translating insights thoughtfully through the lens of lululemon's brand and guest.
  • Design across multiple product types and methods of make, with particular focus on cut-and-sew construction and specialist applications including gloves, caps and headwear, moulded components, and hard hair.
  • Create clear black-and-white sketches, CADs, mock-ups, and technical packages that communicate design intent, construction, materials, trims, functionality, and finish.
  • Select fabrics, trims, and raw materials, exploring new materials and construction techniques to create purposeful, innovative product.
  • Partner closely with Development, Technical Design, Materials, Sourcing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve construction and execution challenges while maintaining design intent, quality, functionality, and commercial viability.
  • Participate actively in fittings, prototype reviews, and product reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations to achieve design intent.
  • Apply colour and graphics to the assortment in alignment with seasonal creative direction, considering product function, feasibility, and commercial relevance.
  • Present design work clearly and confidently to Design leadership and cross-functional partners, communicating the rationale and intent behind design decisions.
  • Manage multiple products and seasonal deliverables with strong organization and attention to detail, responding effectively to feedback and changing priorities.
  • Collaborate across the Accessories Design team and broader Women's and Men's Design teams, contributing to a cohesive design point of view across categories.
  • Support more junior members of the design team through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day guidance.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $104,600 - $137,300 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
