Position: Design Technology Manager
Level: Intermediate to Senior

The Design Technology team is seeking a talented and experienced BIM Manager to support and troubleshoot with day-to-day BIM issues as well as long-term project deliverables. This is an office-wide role with the intent to maintain office standards among a variety of projects ranging from small interior repositioning to large-scale and innovative, out-of-the box designs. While the primary role will be support and BIM management on specific Studio teams, there will be opportunities to help grow and expand the current Design Technology library of tools and information, as well as participating in defining and augmenting office standards for documentation.
The Design Technology Manager will report directly to the Director of Design Technology and work to support individual Studio Leaders and their respective team members.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and update Revit templates
• Coordinate with external consultants in collaboration with project teams
• Build team spirit and morale
• Troubleshoot and assist staff with day-to-day technical BIM issues
• Set up initial Revit model for new projects using shared coordinates
• Review general BIM health for project teams
• Create and maintain Revit Families and other Revit content
• Participate in implementing the Design Technology office standards and policies
• Be responsible for setting regular BIM project team meetings
• Assist Director of Design Technology in the management of Design Technology Specialists and external Design Technology consultants/contractors
• Develop and teach in-office training
• Assist Studio's teams as a production staff member
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in architecture and interiors (a focus in Design Technology is preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in architecture, advanced design, or interiors
• Expert Revit skills and expertise with appropriate plugins (Pyrevit, Ideate, etc.)
• Ability to 3D model in Rhino
• Experience in scripting (e.g. Grasshopper, Dynamo, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Experience in hospitality design and/or interior design is preferred
• Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex concepts to others
• Positive, friendly and collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Interest in researching new technology and methods of production is preferred
• Ability to prioritize projects, manage one's own time, and connect with Studio leaders and team members to meet deadlines
• Proactive and interested in spearheading their own initiatives

General Information:
This is a full-time, in-studio position with hybrid/work-from-home flexibility provided it does not interfere with responsibilities and complies with current office policy outlined in the Rockwell Group Handbook. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description.
