Basic FunctionThe qualified candidate will oversee hyper-scale data center projects from site due diligence, campus planning, conceptual/schematic/detailed design through construction documents, and construction administration. The ideal candidate has experience managing the design of colocation and hyper-scale data centers, has a background in electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, and possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities- Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects that meet the client's requirements, on schedule and to a high degree of quality. Design disciplines will include architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, ICT, and BMS/EPMS.
- Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
- Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project
- Identify problems early and develop creative solutions.
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve outstanding issues.
- Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects
- Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders/buyers
Qualifications/Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience with data center design management & engineering
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Active or recent leadership in data center and mission-critical trade organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in dynamic
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Location: Redwood City, CA; San Diego, CA; Denver CO; Texas preferred.
Base Pay - $140,000-$190,000
The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks-while ensuring internal parity across our teams. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
