Full Job Description
This role can be based remote within the United States.

The Project Operations Team provides comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services throughout the entire project lifecycle. Our team specializes in handling both greenfield and brownfield turnkey electrical projects and has expertise in designing and constructing high and medium-voltage substations and developing power distribution solutions for utilities, government, data centers, industrial, and commercial facilities. This position is remote within the United Sates.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the engineering and design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substation projects, delivering safe, reliable, and innovative solutions for our customers.
  • Ability to independently develop complete engineering packages including single/three lines, AC/DC schematics and wiring, cable/conduit plans, equipment layout plans, etc for turnkey projects.
  • Coordinate electrical and civil design packages to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Develop complete engineering packages, coordinating electrical and civil design activities to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Drive project success by managing design deliverables, schedules, budgets, and technical accuracy in partnership with project managers, field teams, and customers.
  • Apply value-driven engineering practices to optimize designs, improve efficiency, and deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or performance.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to develop technical solutions that address evolving power system needs.
  • Participate in site assessments and field walkdowns to evaluate existing infrastructure and support the development of engineering proposals and project scopes.
  • Prepare engineering estimates, review technical documentation, and support project planning activities.
  • Mentor and collaborate with fellow engineers and designers, sharing technical expertise and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Support projects across the United States through occasional travel (approximately 10%) for customer meetings, site visits, and project support activities.


Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of a BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of seven (7) years electrical engineering or electrical design experience
  • Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional Engineer qualification
  • Field experience in testing/commissioning medium voltage equipment
  • Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
