MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work independently and in a team environment to analyze requirements from customers and develop design solutions
  • Perform engineering design evaluations and present findings to leadership and customers
  • Produce engineering drawings and bills of material (BOM) to comply with sales order requirements
  • Perform dimensional fit tolerance analysis and functional analysis, which includes form, fit and function
  • Produce other required design documentation as required
  • Evaluate designs for cost and manufacturability
  • Optimizing designs to minimize cost and schedule impacts
  • Assist Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing in resolving design (basic to moderate level of complexity), drawing, bill of material and technical issues
  • Assist in the resolution of shop floor or vendor manufacturing problems
  • Full working knowledge of all engineering processes; workflows, engineering software, tools, and basic product knowledge
  • Review peer drawings and BOMs to ensure drawings meet customer requirements and provide feedback as necessary

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience of directly-related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience designing progressive cavity pumps or rotating equipment
  • Working knowledge of MIP operating systems (Team Center and PDM Vault) and procedures is essential
  • Experience using SolidWorks (Preferred) or equivalent
