Introduction:Join our dedicated team as a Design Engineer - Natural Gas, where you will support critical natural gas infrastructure projects within our growing Public Improvement team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of natural gas distribution design, plan review, and project coordination, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of public improvement projects.
Responsibilities:In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of natural gas distribution projects while working closely with project engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Your work will include reviewing public improvement plans, preparing engineering designs, performing engineering calculations, developing pipeline routes, and creating construction estimates. You will coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and external partners while providing field support and site visits as needed. This position offersremote work flexibility, with site visits based in Austin, TX.

Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, petroleum engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Ability to travel for occasional project visits and maintain a valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with site visits and in-person meetings in Indianapolis, IN.
Preferred Qualifications:- 0-2 years of experience in natural gas engineering.
- Experience in transportation engineering or general utility engineering.
