Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied. This position will report to the Site Manager. #LI-CL1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision
  • Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
  • Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
  • Maintains client relationships and is the primary contact for client's communication with the field activities and effective relations with other functional departments.
  • Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations

Planning
  • Oversees jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
  • Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
  • Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.

Safety & Quality
  • Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, field professional staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
  • Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations
  • Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
  • Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client's communication with the field activities and effective relations with other functional departments.
  • The ideal candidate has previous datacenter experience and has worked in a variety of delivery models including EPC and EPCM in Construction Leadership positions.
