Project Overview:

Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget. #LI-AM3

Major Responsibilities:

• Directs and manages design and engineering activities for projects of medium to large scale.
• Manages complex interactions among multiple Bechtel entities or client-mandated collaborations with other contractors as required.
• Facilitates access to specialists in advanced technologies relevant to the project and establishes communication mechanisms to effectively leverage their expertise within the engineering process.
• Sets up the comprehensive engineering execution plan and oversees the creation of the project's overall engineering budget and timeline.
• Responsible for providing inputs to, and supporting the Project Engineering Manager in owning, the engineering components of a project's capital estimate including quantities and budgets for both proposals and execution phases.
• Performs and manages the work in accordance with relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design guides and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Establishes engineering schedule in collaboration with all engineering disciplines. Contributes to the development of the Procurement schedule for project management's approval.
• Collaborates actively with the Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H), and Project Controls to align engineering tasks.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• 15+ years of progressive work experience, including supervision, preferably in project and staff design engineering or architectural design but may include other relevant types of engineering including startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants utilities, process plants or engineering/construction firms.
• Technical knowledge of related engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering and construction methods and materials, and engineering application of computers.
• Proficient knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction.
• Experience in the planning, implementation, and coordination of 3D modeling tools like Revit, Navisworks, SP Hexagon, etc.
• Knowledgeable in industry and regulatory codes and standards, as well as facilitating coordination for necessary approvals.
• Proficient in both oral and written communication.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams of varying sizes.
• Experience with modular design projects is highly desirable.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
• Prior experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in one or more of the following market segments: Semiconductor, AI Data Center, or Life Sciences / Pharma.
• Must have the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.
