AECOM is seeking a
Deputy Logistics Manager - Airport to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
Major Requirements:To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Skilled in the development of transportation strategies.
- Applies logistics terminology and measures and identifies logistics processes/project actions that may impact the project.
- Knowledgeable of construction means, methods, and sequences.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively supervise a logistics team.
- Assumes mentoring and training roles as requested and identifies high potential employees to management.
- Documents employee performance issues and plays an instrumental role in resolutions.
- Prepares and implements logistics plans, staffing plans, and procedures for small projects.
- Assigns tasks to logistics personnel and ensures conformance to budget and schedule.
- Reviews and approves agreements for logistics services.
- Resolves disputes/claims from logistics providers.
- Provides logistics support to company proposals in obtaining pricing from subcontractors and developing strategies and plans.
- Seeks appropriate counsel from procurement & materials management as required to meet complex project issues
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
Bachelors degree with 8 plus years of relevant experience in logistics or a Diploma/Certificate (Canada) with 10 years relevant experience.
This is a new position.
Preferred Requirement:• Typically, a minimum of 12 years of professional experience with 7 in a logistics
related leadership role.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs greater than CAD $500M.
• Able to demonstrate significant expertise in site logistics, traffic management, site coordination, material and equipment delivery, and other applicable technical fields.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver integrated logistics solutions on complex projects and programs.
• Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
• Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
• Recognized degree and professional designation are considered an asset.
Additional InformationThis position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
