Job Summary
The Deployment Systems Lead will provide technical leadership for applications that support AMIR field deployment, including inventory tracking for communication modules, workforce management, and deployment routing, with integration into the existing IFS environment. The role will co-lead delivery with the system integrator and coordinate multiple vendors, operational teams, and technical domains through testing, cutover, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
• Co-lead with the system integrator to define requirements, solution design, integration, testing, migration, cutover, and stabilization plans for deployment systems.
• Lead delivery of communication-module inventory tracking, workforce management, deployment routing, and related integrations with IFS and other enterprise systems.
• Manage AMIR technology and system integrator vendors against schedules, deliverables, quality standards, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead cross-functional end-to-end testing and confirm readiness across inventory, workforce, routing, field deployment, and downstream systems.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and drive investigation, root-cause analysis, and permanent resolution.
• Design or guide backend logic, user-facing performance, interfaces, reusable components, and shared services as needed.
• Define and monitor performance, reliability, deployment, release, and production-support practices.
• Evaluate the downstream effects of design decisions across vendors, operational processes, applications, and field teams.
• Apply appropriate Agile, DevOps, and SDLC practices to manage technical delivery.
• Support production transition, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and ongoing application performance.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years of related experience.
• At least 4 years leading complex software implementations involving cross-functional teams, external vendors, and downstream applications.
• Experience with workforce management, field-service routing, inventory or asset tracking, logistics, or large-scale deployment systems.
• Experience with AWS, cloud architecture, cloud-based application operations, and DevOps.
• Experience with project risk management and contract management.
• Utility technology or large field-deployment program experience.
• Ability to anticipate downstream impacts and communicate technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to evaluate tradeoffs involving performance, security, usability, and maintainability.
• Knowledge of advanced application architecture, testing, deployment, release practices, scalability, and maintainability.
• Skill in designing reusable components and shared services and leading complex technical workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating IFS or a comparable enterprise asset, field-service, or workforce platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms, cloud architecture, cloud-based application operations, DevOps, project risk management, and contract management.
• Utility technology or large field-deployment program experience.
