What you'll do

Our Ground Network Deployment team is growing, and we're looking for a sharp, field-savvy Project Controls Analyst to be a true right hand to the team lead. This isn't a desk-only role - you'll be in the field alongside project managers, engineers, and contractors on multi-million-dollar satellite ground infrastructure programs, then back at the office owning the numbers, the schedule, and the story they tell. We're actively integrating AI into how we run our PMO and want someone who's curious about what that means for project controls. If you thrive in fast-moving, technically complex programs and want to grow into civil works, RF infrastructure, data centers, and AI-enabled program management, this is your seat.

*This is a hybrid, site-based role that offers the perfect blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility. Employees will work from our Tempe office at least 3 days (60%) per week within a standard five-day workweek, with the remaining days worked remotely.

The day-to-day

  • Track, analyze, and communicate cost commitments, expenditures, and cost flow across multiple concurrent programs. Establish and maintain cost baselines, perform Estimates at Completion, and apply Earned Value Management principles. Execute monthly financial close activities including accruals, resource loading, and forecast updates.
  • Build, maintain, and status deployment and construction schedules in MS Project, including resource-loading, CPM analysis, and baseline tracking. Maintain the program master schedule across all active projects and coordinate with internal groups including IT, Facilities, Security, Engineering, Finance to gather dates and status.
  • Forecast project completion costs based on trends including productivity, scope changes, schedule impacts, cost variances, contract changes, identify cost and schedule risks, and lead recovery planning using Critical Path analysis and what-if scenario modeling.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress in the field to identify schedule slippage, communicate risks to the project manager, recommend mitigation steps, and update schedules accordingly
  • Create, process, and track Contracts, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Invoices. Ensure contract compliance, WBS and code-of-accounts adherence. Assist project managers with RFPs, WAs, and other contract tracking templates.
  • Coordinate the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of project reports, owning overall accuracy and timeliness. Maintain internal project management databases, SharePoint sites, and vendor-facing portals
  • Run recurring program status meetings - document action items, own follow-through, and keep communication open across all project stakeholders.
  • Identify and pilot AI-driven tools and workflows to improve PMO efficiency - automated reporting, predictive cost and schedule analytics, and data visualization for program leadership.
