The Opportunity

The Manager of Demand Planning is a highly visible leadership role responsible for leading the North America demand plan. This leader brings strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and cross-functional influence to improve forecast accuracy, reduce bias, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.

This role leads demand planning processes, performance metrics, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure strong alignment between commercial and supply functions. Success in this role requires building trusted relationships and aligning stakeholders on demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities.

The Manager of Demand Planning plays a key role in supporting revenue delivery, service levels, and inventory optimization through a clear, forward-looking demand plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 3-5 customer demand planners, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and analytical rigor
  • Develop, maintain, and improve accurate 18-month rolling forecasts for assigned accounts, leading monthly IBP demand planning collaboration with Sales and customers
  • Create, maintain, and enhance key forecasting metrics, including accuracy, bias, forecast value, risks, and opportunities, using insights to improve forecast performance
  • Lead reconciliation of category- and customer-level forecasts to create one aligned demand plan that reflects key assumptions, risks, and opportunities
  • Synthesize and communicate demand insights through monthly executive reviews, highlighting performance, risks, opportunities, and impacts to revenue, inventory, and service
  • Analyze weekly POS, inventory, shipment, and demand signals at the customer and category levels to identify trends, risks, and actionable opportunities
  • Develop training, tools, and workshops to elevate analytical capabilities and demand planning best practices across the organization
  • Drive data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to enhance forecast accuracy and reduce bias
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and power user for SAP Analytics Cloud, Blue Yonder/JDA, and other reporting and customer data platforms such as Vendor Central, Retail Link, Spins, and Tableau
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Supply Chain, Sales, CP&S, Marketing, and Finance by building trusted relationships and aligning teams on priorities, risks, and outcomes across the North America demand plan


Minimum Qualifications
