What You'll Be DoingThis position is located within the Finance and Administrative Services Department and is under the direct supervision of the Business Tax & Delinquent Collections Supervisor with guidance from the Finance Operations Manager. Work involves the discovery, enforcement, and collection of taxes in accordance with Virginia State Code and Town Ordinances. This position performs a variety of tax assessment and revenue collection tasks including discovery and enforcement of tax assessments, review and verification of tax filings, and performing voluntary and non-voluntary collection actions. This position is independently responsible for delinquent collection work.

Required Qualifications - Associates degree in accounting, or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of tax assessment, billing, and collections experience.
- Experience in computerized accounting systems.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
