OverviewThe
Deck Operations and Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports
Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP) as part of the
Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT). The RATT provides direct, Sailor-centric training and technical assistance to surface ships to improve technical proficiency, material condition, organic repair capability, and overall readiness.
The Deck Operations and Systems SME provides expert-level technical guidance and hands-on support across shipboard deck operations and associated systems. Working directly with shipboard personnel, the SME supports the operation and maintenance of deck systems and equipment to strengthen crew proficiency and enhance overall shipboard readiness.
LocationSan Diego, CA, with extensive travel in support of shipboard RATT visits throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Requirements
Required Qualifications- Minimum 15 years of experience with the technical aspects of shipboard deck operations and systems aboard warships or military auxiliaries, including:
- Anchoring and windlass systems
- Mooring
- Boat handling
- Crane operations
- Sterngate operations
- Amphibious operations
- Underway replenishment systems
- Direct operational and maintenance experience with these systems as currently employed by the U.S. Navy
- Ability and willingness to support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel for shipboard RATT visits
Security Clearance- Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance

Salary Description
$100,000 - $140,000
