This role is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and advancing opportunities where data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and predictive intelligence can improve business performance, strengthen decision-making, and accelerate Finance transformation. As a decision scientist principal, you will... • Drive strategy and transformation by defining and evolving Finance's data vision and strategy through advanced analytics, AI, automation, and emerging technologies. • Enhance decision intelligence practices and deliver business value by translating complex business challenges into high-value analytical and decision support solutions and identify opportunities to improve business performance, efficiency, agility, and organizational effectiveness. • Establish key partnerships and influence outcomes with Finance, Starbucks Technology, and other enterprise teams to drive prioritization and deliver scalable analytical capabilities and solutions. • Foster capability building and organizational adoption through mentoring and coaching Finance data scientists by establishing best practices, skill development, and becoming a thought leader and trusted advisor for advanced analytics, AI, decision intelligence, and data driven solutions. We'd love to hear from people with: • BA/BS or equivalent experience • Experience with cloud tech for data and analytics solutions (Azure, AWS) • Expertise in Excel, SQL, Tableau / PowerBI and Python, R or other advanced analytics scripting language or experimental design platforms • Expertise in data methodologies and skills in accordance with business applicability and insights operationalization • Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills • Years of experience in specific field of designated skills: 10 years • Preferred Qualifications • MS concentration preferred with discipline in Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Econ, Psychology, Quantitative Social Science, or similar As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
