Responsibilities include:
- Lead all dealership accounting operations
- Manage month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and manufacturer accounting requirements
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Analyze KPIs and profitability trends
- Recommend strategies to improve financial performance
- Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and manufacturer requirements
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members
- Partner with General Managers and department leaders to maximize profitability
We're Looking ForRequired- 5+ years of accounting or finance leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred- Automotive dealership accounting experience
- Controller or Assistant Controller experience
- CPA or CMA designation
- Experience with CDK or other dealership management systems
- Multi-franchise or multi-location experience
