Join our team supporting USTRANSCOM's Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), a mission-critical enterprise platform that modernizes transportation, logistics, and financial operations through SAP S/4HANA ERP integration. We're looking for an accomplished Data Tester to validate data quality, transformation, migration, interfaces, and reconciliation across this large-scale SAP implementation. Your expertise in database validation, SQL, source-to-target testing, and enterprise data flows will be essential to ensuring JTMS data is accurate, complete, consistent, and reliable. In this role, you'll partner with developers, data engineers, business analysts, functional teams, and product owners within a SAFe Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
Requirements and Data Analysis: Review user stories, interface requirements, data mappings, transformation rules, business rules, and source-to-target specifications to identify data test conditions and acceptance criteria
Data Test Development: Design, build, and maintain data test cases, SQL queries, reconciliation checks, test data sets, and expected results for SAP S/4HANA and other integrated applications
Data Validation: Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, referential relationships, formats, transformations, and business-rule compliance across source and target systems
Migration and Conversion Testing: Test data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, conversion, and reconciliation activities and verify migrated data against approved source-to-target rules
Interface and Integration Testing: Validate inbound and outbound data exchanged among SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, Mendix applications, interfaces, and external systems, including error handling and exception processing
Defect Management: Document data defects with queries, evidence, expected/actual results, and reproducible conditions; track issues through resolution and retest
Test Documentation: Create and maintain data test plans, test cases, test evidence, traceability, reconciliation results, and data-quality reports aligned with SAFe Agile practices
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, developers, functional analysts, business stakeholders, and integration teams to resolve data issues and maximize test coverage
Agile Participation: Actively engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data-testing methods, reusable SQL validation, automation, reporting, and data-quality controls
Qualifications:
Required:
Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (required)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience: Minimum 5 years in software testing with a minimum of 2 years dedicated data testing for large-scale enterprise or ERP systems
Data Testing Expertise: Hands-on experience with data validation, ETL/ELT testing, source-to-target reconciliation, data migration/conversion testing, and data-quality testing
SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills for querying, comparing, aggregating, reconciling, and troubleshooting data across relational databases
Agile Methodology: Strong working knowledge of SAFe Framework, SDLC, and Agile development practices
Core Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desired:
Technical Skills: Experience with data profiling, ETL tools, APIs, flat files, XML/JSON, and data comparison or reconciliation utilities
SAP / ERP Experience: Experience testing SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP data, workflows, integrations, interfaces, or migration activities
Test Management: Experience with ServiceNow CWM (Collaborative Work Management) or comparable
