Role Overview:The Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) Engineer will serve as an operations and engineering resource within the DSPM team, focusing on the implementation and daily management of data security controls across the enterprise. This role involves leveraging platforms like IGDC/1touch for on-premises environments and Cortex for cloud platforms to onboard data sources, maintain integrations, and ensure robust data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation and day-to-day management of data security controls within the DSPM team.
- Utilize IGDC/1touch for on-premises and Cortex for cloud platforms to onboard data sources.
- Maintain integrations and ensure effective data discovery, classification, and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, infrastructure teams, and vendor partners to troubleshoot issues, optimize configurations, and ensure stable and secure operations.
- Monitor system health, resolve incidents, and drive continuous improvements in DSPM tool performance and coverage.
- Assist in coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, manage updates, and address data security risks identified through DSPM tooling.
- Contribute to operational documentation, reporting, and metrics.
- Provide engineering support for scaling DSPM capabilities across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure alignment with organizational security and compliance objectives.
Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data security, or data engineering with a strong focus on data discovery, classification, or Security Posture Management (SSPM).
- Strong expertise in modern data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with structured and unstructured data ecosystems.
- Expertise in data classification methodologies and regulatory frameworks such as PCI and PII.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale integrations, including data catalog platforms, ITAM / CMDB systems, and SIEM / SOAR or security analytics platforms.
- Strong technical skills in APIs and integration patterns, specifically REST and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting, with Python being preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, data security, or data engineering.
