Job Description:

Role Summary 

The Robotics & Services team is seeking an entry-level Data Scientist to support the development, automation, and operationalization of customer-facing reporting, workflows, inspection analytics, and data integrations across our products, and related systems. This role will help convert field inspection data, customer feedback, operational metrics, and product requirements into reliable data pipelines, dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support customers, operators, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain data pipelines for weekly inspection reports, operational dashboards, and customer analytics. 
  • Use Python, Pandas, PySpark, and SQL to clean, transform, validate, and analyze robotics inspection and operations data. 
  • Integrate data from APIs, Salesforce, DroneDeploy, Databricks, internal databases, SharePoint, and other platforms. 
  • Develop ETL workflows for observations, work orders, project/site metadata, issue classifications, approvals, and report distribution. 
  • Build and improve dashboards and lightweight reporting apps using tools such as Dash, React, HTML, CSS, or similar frameworks. 
  • Support automation of reporting workflows. 
  • Help resolve data quality issues related to workflows and reporting. 
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, API issues, dashboard inconsistencies, permissions problems, and reporting defects. 
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Field Operations, and Data teams to turn reporting and analytics requirements into practical tools. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 2-5 years of experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience with Python, including Pandas. 
  • Experience with PySpark or distributed data processing concepts. 
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL. 
  • Experience with big data platforms such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar. 
  • Experience working with APIs and API-based data integrations. 
  • Experience building data pipelines, ETL frameworks, or automated data workflows. 
  • Some frontend/dashboard experience with Dash, React, HTML, CSS, Streamlit, Power BI, Tableau, or similar. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate data for customer-facing reports. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Databricks notebooks, jobs, workflows, or Delta tables. 
  • Experience with Salesforce data, work orders, CRM objects, or reporting workflows. 
  • Exposure to geospatial data, shapefiles, GeoJSON, GPS coordinates, or map-based analytics. 
  • Experience with inspection data, image metadata, robotics, renewable energy, construction QA/QC, or field operations. 
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, or basic software development workflows.
