Job DescriptionAre you passionate about leveraging descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to drive business strategy and results? As part of the Chase Auto team, you'll directly support a sales organization focused on growing auto originations through strategic automotive partnerships.
As an Associate Data Scientist, you will partner with a sales-focused organization to deliver analytics that fuel growth across our dealer channels. Your work will integrate data science, research, and business domain expertise to inform strategic decisions and optimize performance. You will collaborate closely with Brand General Managers, Dealer Relationship Managers, and partners across consumer lines of business, finance, compliance, and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Chase Auto and lines of business (LOBs) to deliver data-driven insights that support strategic growth in auto originations.
- Develop and refine reporting frameworks and KPIs to evaluate channel effectiveness and partnership performance.
- Conduct proactive, self-directed analysis of large, complex datasets by forming hypotheses, extracting insights, and communicating findings through clear data visualizations for diverse stakeholders.
- Shape and prioritize the analytics agenda to align with business strategy and maximize impact.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills- Master's degree in a related field or 2 years of relevant industry experience in data science or analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with Tableau and Alteryx.
- Expertise in data wrangling, including integrating multiple data sources into cohesive datasets and aggregating large datasets for targeted analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to define business KPIs and implement effective measurement frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of exploring results and uncovering actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage executives, business partners, and technical teams on analytics and data management topics.
- Strong data storytelling skills, translating analytical findings into clear, actionable narratives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills- Experience in the automotive or auto lending industry.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
