Full Job Description
The Data Quality Lead is a role within the Central Data & Product Delivery Team at The Campbell's Company. This role will report to the Enterprise Data Governance Lead and will be responsible for defining and implementing a data quality program that empowers our organization with trusted, high-quality data that drives growth, ensures compliance, and enhances decision-making across the enterprise. Responsibilities include defining and driving our enterprise data quality (DQ) strategy, delivering oversight of quality standards & lifecycle, and application of data quality rules within our data lake and enterprise systems. This individual will define and lead data quality monitoring, issues triage and remediation in partnership with Data Owners/Data Stewards across multiple domains within our divisions and corporate functions, including partnership with Master Data.

The ideal candidate must have practical experience in data quality management and best practices. They should be familiar with data quality principles, tools, processes, and applications, and understand the importance of enterprise business processes, data quality, and applications. This role will partner with the Enterprise Data Governance Lead, to provide training and mentorship to Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Business Analysts to drive data literacy, adherence to the governance processes and champion a culture of data excellence.

Principal Responsibilities (list in order of importance and indicate percentage of time spent on each -these are the main accountabilities and should make clear the decision making, level of supervision given and received, and how the accountabilities are completed; No accountability should have less than 5% allocated.)

What You Will Do...

30% Data Quality Strategy and Maturity Growth
• Define and drive the enterprise data quality strategy and roadmap, ensuring it is embedded in the organization's overall data strategy and transformation agenda.
• Implement and maintain a federated data quality model with cross-functional Data Stewards. Partner with the head of the Central Data & Product Delivery Team and Data Governance Lead to develop recommendations for longer-term resource models to support the strategy.
• Drive enterprise-wide maturity growth, shifting from reactive cleanup to proactive, prevention-first practices.

35% Data Quality Implementation
• Own the enterprise data quality monitoring & incident management process with support from the Data Governance Lead, ensuring effective triage, escalation, root cause analysis, resolution, and communication with appropriate cross-functional Data Owners/Data Stewards.
• Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, System Owners, and Technical teams to resolve recurring issues and strengthen data reliability. With support from Data Governance Lead, validate that corrective and preventive measures are sustainable and embedded into business and technical processes.
• Oversee the design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of an enterprise data quality dashboard, ensuring visibility of quality KPIs & thresholds across all domains. Ensures the data meets agreed thresholds for completeness, validity, uniqueness, accuracy, timeliness across all data domains.
• Partner with Business and IT teams to implement data profiling, cleansing and enrichment strategies across structured and unstructured data.

35% Enterprise Quality Standards & Governance
• Establish and enforce enterprise-wide data quality standards for master and reference data aligned with governance policies, business requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Govern and document the end-to-end lifecycle of data quality rules - from intake and design to approval, deployment, and retirement - ensuring traceability to business requirements and clear ownership.
• Approve critical rule definitions and thresholds, ensuring accountability and remediation paths are in place.
• Ensure data quality controls are embedded by design into data products and other application release processes, partnering with IT Delivery & Architecture teams and Data Owners.

• Skilled in translating enterprise objectives into a multi-year data quality strategy and phased roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business value, risk, and feasibility.
• Experienced building high performing teams and collaborating cross-functionally to identify and drive changes, improvements, and facilitate decisions.
• Adept at influencing key stakeholders to implement new data quality processes and drive adoption to higher levels of maturity, and effectively communicate the value of data quality to the organization.
• Ability to balance centralized operating model & standards with a federated execution model.
• Expert at using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and identify issue resolution & improvement opportunities.
• Proficient at learning new tools and other enterprise-wide systems and solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize day-to-day work, manage multiple projects and competing priorities with manager support.
• Comfortable with change and ability to navigate ambiguity.

What You Bring to the Table... (Must Have)
• Bachelor's degree in a science, data science or IT related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, data quality management or data governance; experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) preferred.

It Would Be Great if You Have... (Nice to Have)
• Working knowledge of data catalog applications; experience with data.world is preferred.
• Hands on experience with profiling, rule authoring, monitoring, and data observability platforms; ability to standardize methods across diverse technologies. Understanding of standardization, matching, de duplication, and survivorship and how these controls integrate with upstream & downstream systems and data products
• Skilled in translating business logic into executable checks with measurable thresholds. Ability to translate and document data requirements into technical terms for IT teams, and technical concepts into business terms for key stakeholders, Data Owners, Data Stewards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Proficient in using Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$134,300-$184,700

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
