Full Job Description
Title: Data Products Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada

About the Role:

As the Manager, Data Products, you will enable Takeda Canada to realize greater value from enterprise data products by translating global capabilities into practical local impact. You will connect global data and analytics teams with Canadian business stakeholders to drive adoption, strengthen decision-making, and help embed a more data-driven culture across the organization. You will also serve as the LOC's hands-on requirements-discovery partner - investigating the underlying business problem (whether data, process, or technology) before a solution is shaped - so that demand is well-framed and investment is directed at the right root cause.

Reporting Manager: Head of DD&T, Canada

How will you contribute:
  • Support scaling and adoption of global data and analytics products locally, with accountability for I4I (Invest for Impact) implementation and scaling, Customer Experience Index (CEI), Todai/Next Best Experience enablement and scale-up. Run local onboarding activities: prepare local datasets, validate global product compatibility with local data, support user access/setup, and provide first-line troubleshooting.
  • Lead hands-on requirements discovery and business analysis (solution-agnostic). Partner with local functions to investigate and frame the underlying business problem before a solution is chosen - eliciting needs, mapping current-state process and data flows, identifying root causes, and determining whether the issue is best addressed through data, process, or technology. Produce clear problem statements and option assessments with trade-offs rather than pre-selected solutions, working through the Tech & AI Partner's intake ('front door') and routing each need to the right delivery path.
  • Contextualize analytics outputs with local business realities. Work with cross functional stakeholders to interpret dashboards and models, verify assumptions (e.g., market specifics), reconcile discrepancies, and translate outputs into locally meaningful, actionable insights. Designs and develops scalable, automated, user-friendly reports, dashboards, etc. using modern BI tools such as Power BI, maintains dashboard eco system in close coordination with Marketing and Commercial Operations team, and performs quality checks.
  • Partner with Data Excellence and cross functional teams to ensure data products meet foundational data quality, governance, and security standards - including data sourcing, cataloguing, contracting, and access controls.
  • Partner with ICC/GCM for scalable delivery. Ensure that DD&T data products and services are delivered by ICC/GCM delivery teams. support organization through the interpretation of analytical outputs, collect feedback and recommend improvements.

What you bring to Takeda:
  • University degree in a relevant field such as data analytics, computer science, information systems, business, or a related discipline, with 5-7 years of experience in roles that bridge business and data - for example analytics business partner, data or analytics product owner, BI/analytics business analyst, or analytics/operations consultant (an "analytics translator" profile). Pharmaceutical or other regulated-industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on business analysis and requirements-elicitation skills - structured problem framing, stakeholder interviews, current-state process and data mapping, root-cause analysis, and option/trade-off assessment across data, process, and technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience localizing or scaling enterprise data products (e.g., MMM, promotional analytics, scenario simulation) in a commercial context.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, with openness to feedback, continuous learning, and adapting quickly in a changing business and technology environment.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), data modelling concepts, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong ability to interpret and contextualize advanced analytics outputs for non-technical business stakeholders - acting as the bridge between data science teams and business users.
  • Ability to partner effectively with data engineers and data scientists to translate local needs into scalable solutions and deliver value for the Canada LOC.
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial and medical data ecosystems (e.g., IQVIA, Rx data, patient/PSP data, claims data) and underlying data structures.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and product backlog management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Investigate the underlying problem before proposing a solution - stays solution-agnostic across data, process, and technology, and resists jumping straight to a build.
  • Credible with both sides of the bridge - fluent enough in data and analytics to challenge and guide technical teams, and business-minded enough to prioritize value and drive adoption.
  • Thrive at the intersection of global scale and local impact - comfortable translating enterprise data products into tangible LOC value.
  • Connect with technical and commercial stakeholders; makes data "speak business" and builds confidence in data-driven decision-making.
  • Operate with a product mindset: iterates based on user feedback, measures adoption, and drives continuous improvement.
  • Build collaborative networks across functions and geographies; influences without authority to drive alignment and action.
