Overview:The
Data PM / Business Analyst will gather, analyze, and translate complex business and data requirements into scalable, SQL-driven data solutions on
Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role works closely with business stakeholders, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver reliable reporting, analytics, and data pipelines while ensuring high data quality and strong documentation standards.
• Must-Have Technical & Functional Skills (JD-Aligned)Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management- 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Project Manager
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and data requirements
- Proven ability to obtain stakeholder commitment and manage expectations
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs
- Translate functional requirements into technical data specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Data & SQL Expertise- Advanced SQL expertise for:
- Complex data transformations
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Analytical reporting
- Strong experience designing SQL-based data solutions
- Perform data analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Create and manage test data assets
- Support SIT/UAT validation
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including:
- BigQuery (mandatory)
- Dataform (preferred)
- Cloud Composer
- Cloud Dataflow
- Design and support ETL/ELT workflows using GCP services
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data reliability and scalability
Data Modeling & Architecture- Moderate to advanced experience in data modeling
- Preferred experience with Medallion Data Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers)
- Experience defining and implementing data quality rules
- Strong understanding of data quality strategies and governance
Documentation & Collaboration- Provide clear and detailed:
- Business requirement documents (BRDs)
- Functional requirement documents (FRDs)
- Data dictionaries
- Technical design artifacts
- Collaborate with:
- Engineering teams
- Analytics teams
- Business stakeholders
- Ensure end-to-end data traceability and reliability
• Roles & Responsibilities (Client-Facing)- Gather and document business, functional, and data requirements
- Translate requirements into SQL-centric technical solutions
- Design, support, and monitor GCP-based ETL pipelines
- Perform advanced SQL transformations and validation
- Define and implement data quality checks
- Support SIT/UAT testing using curated test data
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of enterprise datasets
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and data artifacts
