The Data Platform Operations Analyst will support the capture of multiple stakeholder requirements to enable the implementation of data management principles along with modern Data Platform Management features. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in leading governance of operations in the field of data platforms. This role requires working closely with multiple tenants' team and assisting in various projects to support data-driven decision-making processes.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Identify trends, patterns, and outliers on the data platform along with providing improvisations to align platform with recommended solutions by collecting, cleaning and analyzing data from diverse sources to extract meaningful insights
  • Contribute to the development of data visualizations and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Understand and collaborate on requirements from multiple key stakeholders/end users and effectively solve the requirements for Data Platform Management feature delivery
  • Address process automation and improvement objectives outlined by stakeholders, and collaborate with development team for design and solution feedback
  • Ensure Data Platform Management features are implemented correctly by working closely with development/testing teams
  • Work in an Agile mindset to accelerate delivery of data platform governance and management
  • Provide demonstrations of product features to stakeholder groups in sprint reviews / cadence(s)
  • Support end user onboarding, and inquiries on data platform management features
  • Establish and evolve end user documentation; collaborate with fellow team members to maintain documentation


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience along with a completed degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience on Data Platforms (Data Lake and Data Warehouse), with exposure to various analytics & data project life cycle (e.g. ETL).
  • 3+ years of experience with platform monitoring through tools (Cloudera Manager, Grafana)
  • 2+ years of experience on big data technologies (Cloudera/Hortonworks, Spark, Hive), along with hands-on experience of data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Python or SQL
  • Able to implement & enhance various dashboards through data visualization tool(s) such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong communication skills (i.e.: spoken/written/presentation) to engage wide array of users to elicit requirements and feedback
  • Self-motivated to solve problems and able to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong process documentation and optimization skills to articulate workflow requirements
  • Understanding of data management principles would be an asset
  • Knowledge of agile project methodology and artifacts, on software/application development lifecycle in an agile fashion would be an asset
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) would be an asset
  • Productivity/Project collaboration tools experience: Confluence, Jira, Sharepoint
  • Fluency in Spanish Language to converse confidently for work related communication would be an asset
