Full Job Description
We are currently seeking for a Data Operations Specialist to join the Enterprise Data team in the Wealth Technology Group at CI Wealth. The Wealth Data team supports the organization through data management, warehousing and consolidation, governance, reporting, and business analytics and insights. The successful candidate will engage in the data operations practice and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality data services, enabling data-driven strategies across the organization. You will optimize data workflows, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and drive continuous improvements in data quality and accessibility. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and project teams to streamline data pipelines and support reporting and business intelligence needs. • Supporting and troubleshooting the data acquisition, validation, integration, and enrichment processes to maintain data readiness, accuracy, and reliability. • Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines and act as the gatekeeper for scheduled and ad-hoc releases. • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. • Implement automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors. • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle. • Manage relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure service quality and data compliance. • Rotational after hour support is required for this role. WHAT YOU WILL BRING • 2+ years of professional experience in data operations with a strong focus on data processes support, data quality, and governance. • Post-secondary degree in a quantitative discipline. • Comprehensive understanding of data pipeline architecture, modern data stack architecture, and cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Snowflake, and other cloud-native solutions. • Working knowledge of data operations framework and models  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting CI/CD and data pipelines. • Experience in developing and maintaining data quality and validation processes. • Strong knowledge of observability and data lineage implementation to ensure pipeline transparency and monitoring. • Knowledge and experience with the following tools and concept: • Workflow orchestration tools – CRON, Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions • CI/CD pipelines – Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, CloudFormation, Terraform, Flyway • Data governance tools and frameworks – Collibra, Atlan, Alation • Database systems – Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Sybase, MySQL • Data extraction – SQL, Python, API invocation, CDC • Data storage repositories – SFTP, AWS S3 • ETL/ ELT tools and workflow – Snowpipe, PySpark, AWS Glue, EMR, AWS Lambda, SCD • A strong analytical mindset and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills. • Experience in the Financial Services Industry is an asset. • Ability to work within an organization based upon continuous improvement. This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 - $119,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company. This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
