- Perform as Data and Methods Analyst within the Patient Safety (PS) Team under the Chief of Patient Safety, Quality Directorate.
- Develop and manage database applications and system reports to retrieve patient safety data, track and analyze metrics, and produce statistical reports supporting the PS mission.
- Develop comprehensive methods or procedures to determine and measure the reliability, accuracy, and validity of PS data.
- Develop and formulates studies, summaries, and substantive analysis, utilizing various source data collection systems.
- Develop graphic presentations of statistical data, as well as composite material involving the measurement of PS data for briefings, publications, and various reports.
- Interface with Patient Safety (PS) and Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) personnel to improve the uniformity and standardization of reporting systems and results format.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes writing and improving Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to pull and clean clinical data; using advanced Excel tools to analyze information and/or create clear reports building dashboards to track key performance measures and creating or managing SharePoint 365 sites to organize important standard operating procedures (SOPs). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
