DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Data Manager, located in Ontario, Canada.

Position Summary

The Data Manager role is responsible for

  • Data governance, data quality and supporting the commercial organization analytics needs across the DS business
  • Owning the data foundation for local customer experience management system experiences or workstreams.
  • Works very closely with contract, pricing, compensation, sales and marketing functions to meet their analytic needs.
  • Represent Canada in different Global data teams.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Establishes and enforces data governance policies including collection and storage procedures. Represents Canada in global data solution initiatives.


  • Owns cross business unit commercial systems like Contracting, Compensation, SAP into data lakes and CRM/CXM platforms that enable advances from descriptive to prescriptive analytics


  • By working very closely with internal partners, this role fully understands the strategic priorities of the business and translates those into proactive and actionable data deliverables.


  • Maintains a robust monitoring process/system for accuracy, integrity and compliance exist to ensure data quality and works closely with Sr. Manager to build ROI cases for local investment.


  • Leads data foundation for Customer Experience Management data needs and provides solutions for data gaps.


  • Identifies and provide training for different aspects of data from strategy (governance), data quality or data use within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
  • 5-7 years' experience in a Data Management and Business Analytics.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of data management techniques including data modeling, data security and governance.


  • Proficiency in database management and analysis tools including visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.


  • Ability to develop and maintain standard operating procedures data ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.


  • Strong communication and organization skills to explain technical information.


  • Excellent analytics, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to interpret data and resolve system issues.


  • Experience in CRM or CXM tools (like MS dynamics with Co-pilot)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
94,000.00 - 188,000.00 CAD Annual

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
