Full Job Description
Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a full-time Data Management Consultant to join our Water Planning Team! This flexible hybrid role could be based in any Arcadis location.

The Data Management Consultant will work independently as well as on teams staffed with management consultants, IT professionals, engineers, and scientists from various backgrounds, locations, specialties, and experience levels. Some tasks, such as addressing requests for assistance, require a combination of technical and non-technical skills. In this position you will need a strong intellect, the ability to articulate complex ideas persuasively and a talent for establishing and solidifying relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Role accountabilities:

This role will be responsible for technical delivery of information technology projects for the water and wastewater utility industry, while working with senior consultants and client staff to perform business process/work method assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analyses, and generate reports. Some travel (up to 10%) may be required for client meetings, general planning purposes and/or other consulting related needs.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Develop and validate machine-learning models and data pipelines to predict service-line materials and other operational risks for drinking-water clients using GIS, SQL, R, and Python.
  • Participate in pursuit plans and develop client engagement strategies and participate in task order development and interviews to win new projects.
  • Contribute to data warehouse design, security profile management, data share design and other data architecture applications for client systems.
  • Develop integration efforts for existing enterprise systems and perform analyses on system architecture and performance using.
  • Perform data analyses on large utility datasets such as: GIS (Geographic Information System), computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), capacity assessment, modeling, etc.
  • Increase productivity of the team by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements, while leading project teams on execution.
  • Perform services on-site or off-site to support client staff performing their day-to-day activities such as planning/scheduling, condition assessment, capacity assessment, contractor management, etc.
  • Develop technical reports and presentations for projects.
  • Design and implement analytics and dashboard platforms.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience with GIS, SQL, Python, R, PowerBI
  • B.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or related discipline.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
