The Data Governance Architect must have experience in defining and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks that ensure data is trusted, secure, compliant, and fit for business use. This role bridges business and technology by establishing data standards, policies, and architectural patterns; embedding governance into data platforms and delivery initiatives; and partnering with data owners, stewards, and engineering teams to improve data quality, interoperability, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
Your Role
- Extensive experience in data architecture, data governance, or enterprise data management, with a demonstrated ability to design and operationalize governance frameworks at scale.
- Proven background working across business and technology teams, translating business requirements into enforceable data standards and architectural patterns.
- Must be able to facilitate stakeholders for requirements gathering and validation.
- Must have demonstrated strong communication skills with executives.
- Must have solid understanding and demonstrable experience in retail apparel business, especially customer journey.
- Must have a solid understanding and demonstrable experience in supply chain (retail supply chain is a Required )
- Must be able to talk to business stakeholders in business context without technology.
- Ability to take feedback and incorporate that into measurable improvement.
- Ability to take vague or unclear expectations and turn them into concepts and requirements.
- Ability to align disparate groups of stakeholders towards common framework by demonstrating value.
- Must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Change Management experience a big plus.
Technical & Platform Skills & Requirement
- Significant experience (10+ years) in the development and operationalization of data governance frameworks, operating models, and workflows.
- Minimum Degree: Bachelor of Arts or Science
- Must be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
- Nice to have knowledge: Atlan, Alation, Google Cloud, Data Modeling, Wireframing and workflow development.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$$83,000 to $192,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
