Position Overview

The Data Engineering Technical Expert provides senior-level leadership and technical direction for enterprise data engineering, data architecture, and analytics initiatives supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Office of Data and Analytics (CG-ODA). This role leads high-complexity projects involving data modernization, cloud transformation, data governance, and enterprise engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise data engineering and architecture initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic data engineering roadmaps.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Oversee compliance with federal policies, standards, and regulations.

Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
