Work you'll do

As a Project, Data Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...
  • Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases
  • Developing, testing, and deploying data engineering solutions across cloud and enterprise data environments
  • Transforming, validating, and integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data models, data quality controls, and processing frameworks
  • Supporting client delivery by documenting technical solutions, resolving defects, and contributing to continuous improvement of data platforms

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or artificial intelligence development
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and deploying data pipelines, artificial intelligence agents, or machine learning models into production environments
  • 1+ year of experience with hands on experience with PowerBI, Power Apps, or Power Automate
  • 1+ year of experience designing end-to-end artificial intelligence solutions, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and cloud-based integration
  • 1+ year of experience supporting BI, analytics, or technology programs in a mission-driven environment
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques (classification, clustering, regression, and anomaly detection)
  • Active Top Secret level security clearance, preferred TS/SCI
  • Must be able to commute onsite 100% into Arlington/Rosslyn/D.C.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with AWS and Azure AI products
  • Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, or optical character recognition solutions
  • Experience with Python data engineering and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow
  • Experience developing automation capabilities for document processing, case summarization, workflow orchestration, or content generation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,700 to $179,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
