Full Job Description
Data Engineer III supports the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions that enable business insights and operational efficiency. This role works across the data lifecycle to build pipelines, structure data assets, and improve data quality in support of business and client needs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on engineering experience, strong technical execution, and the ability to work across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, extract transform load (ETL) development, or data integration
  • 2+ years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python
  • 2+ year of experience with Spark, Databricks, or distributed data processing frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining relational or dimensional data models
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Maryland, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,900 to $163,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
