Full Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience in Python, Apache Spark, AWS, and Snowflake, and is passionate about working with large-scale data systems to enable analytics and business insights. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week out of our office in **Toronto, ON**. **What You'll Do:** - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Python and Apache Spark - Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to process structured and unstructured data - Work with AWS services (such as S3, EC2, Dynamo, Glue, Lambda) to deploy and manage data solutions - Implement and manage data warehousing solutions using Snowflake - Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements - Implement best practices across data industry to standardize and automate data pipelines - Implement security and governance guidelines and ensure compliance to regulations **Who You Are:** - Have strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development. - Take ownership, with the ability to manage in an environment of quick change to help strategic moves in this rapidly evolving QSR environment. - Are outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business. - Have ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment and is transparent and professional in their communication If you're curious, ready to take on new challenges and open to doing things differently to help us evolve rapidly, then this is the place to be. **What You'll Need To Succeed:** - Minimum under graduation degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field - 2+ year experience in programming languages like Python, SQL, Scala - 2+ year experience in designing complex Realtime / batch data pipelines - 2+ year experience in Big Data Space - Apache Spark / HDFS / Hadoop / Hive - 2+ year experience in designing CI/CD pipelines through Terraform / Git - 2+ year experience in building scalable cloud-based data pipelines using Lambda, Glue, Dynamo, IAM **What Helps You Brew Success:** - Experience with Snowflake (data warehousing / data modeling / performance basics) - Experience with Databricks an asset - Experience with Loyalty Programs an asset For Candidates Based in Ontario, the Expected Salary Range is: $90,000-$110,000 Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company's long-term incentive plan. (This language is only used for PB3+ roles.)
