What You Will Do:• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines supporting mission critical workflows.
• Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, quality, and sustainment.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reliable, maintainable data engineering solutions.
• Ensure long-term reliability, observability, and performance of production data systems.
• Develop and operate solutions within Databricks (mandatory), consistent with mission platform operations.
• Produce documentation, diagrams, data models, and sustainment procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements to production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and mission teams to align engineering outputs with program goals.
What You Will Need:• Secret clearance (active or ability to obtain).
• Databricks experience is mandatory.
• Strong skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines in cloud-native environments.
• Understanding of data modeling, orchestration, automation, and quality frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps practices supporting data engineering workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with government stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
What Would Be Nice To Have:• Experience supporting government or mission-critical data systems.
• Familiarity with data lakehouse architecture patterns.
• Experience with dashboarding or analytics tools supporting mission users.
• Knowledge of cloud services supporting Databricks-based environments.
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
