Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Center Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our mission-critical data center environments. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep expertise in power, cooling, environmental systems, cabling infrastructure, and overall data center operations.

Client : Fintech

Location: GTA

Onsite Requirement : fully onsite (shift) and Rotational on-call and occasional site visits

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or infrastructure support roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data center power and cooling systems, including UPS, PDUs, generators, transfer switches, CRAC/CRAH units, and environmental controls.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale mission-critical data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, rack design, airflow management, and power distribution.
  • Experience with incident management, change management, and problem management processes.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and remote sites.
  • Ability to work independently and lead operational initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Technical Skills
  • Fiber optic installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Structured cabling systems and data center connectivity.
  • Installation of hardware (server/storage)
  • Proficiency using: Fluke cable testers, Fiber optic testers & OTDR equipment
  • Network scanners and diagnostic tools
  • Environmental monitoring systems.
  • Data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
  • Asset management and ticketing systems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation platforms.
