Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Engineer to support the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of high-performance data center infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data center environments, with a strong focus on server, networking, power, cooling, and related systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and related data center hardware.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs; coordinate RMAs and vendor support as needed.
  • Monitor data center environmental conditions (power, cooling, humidity, airflow) and respond to alerts or incidents.
  • Support capacity planning, inventory management, and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Execute cabling, rack-and-stack, and physical installation activities in accordance with best practices and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver projects on time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, inventory, procedures, and change records.
  • Participate in customer service and provide timely response to critical incidents.
  • Assist with compliance, security, and audit requirements related to data center operations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, reliability, and operational efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations, server hardware, or related infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of server platforms (x86), storage systems, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with rack installation, cabling standards, power distribution, and cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting methodologies, and vendor support processes (including RMA workflows).
  • Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), work in raised-floor environments, and follow strict safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:
  • Experience with high-density GPU/AI server environments or hyperscale data centers.
  • Knowledge of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools, monitoring platforms, or infrastructure management software.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or relevant vendor certifications a plus (e.g., Supermicro, Dell, HPE).
  • Experience supporting production environments with strict uptime requirements.


Salary Range

$85k - $105k

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
