- 7 years of experience working in data centers, hospitals, power plants, HV electrical substations, or other mission-critical facility maintenance/operational experience.
- Experience in project controls and programmable logic controllers.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, holidays, and on shift-based schedules.
Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other related engineering degree.
- Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing and troubleshooting BMS and Electrical SCADA systems application specific controllers and software such as Ignition and Factory Talk.
- Experience with management of change and project management software.
- Experience with TCP/IP, EtherNet IP, BacNet or MODBUS, IEC 61850 communication protocol.
- Understanding of engineering documentation, PMS/BMS drawings and standard operating procedures.
- Track record for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers, with excellent communication skills, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

You regularly help inspect, maintain and repair various data center systems such as piping and non-critical electrical or mechanical system components). You provide daily assistance to senior technicians as you read blueprints/schematics, conduct tours of systems and assess their working order.

They also provide daily assistance to senior technicians in reading blueprints/schematics and assessing work orders.

Responsibilities - Act as a data center technical lead, monitoring plant efficiency (e.g., Power Usage Effectiveness/Water Usage Effectiveness - PUE/WUE), and working with technicians, leads, and managers.
- Provide a strategic approach to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), operations, and maintenance programs.
- Act as a resource and mentor for Facilities Technicians (FTs) to drive improvements and feedback.
- Navigate organizational change processes and provide site-level feedback, ensuring appropriate SMEs are included, coordinating with FTs and managers to execute approved decisions, and properly close out technical bugs.
- Provide input and direction in the data center commissioning processes and procedures, including retesting requirements following replacement or major repairs.
