We are seeking a Data Center Networking Engineer to support our office.
Position Summary
HPE Networking is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) to serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor to service providers, enterprise customers, and strategic partners.
The Technical Solutions Architect will provide deep technical expertise in WAN routing, network infrastructure architecture, optical transport, data center connectivity, and emerging networking technologies. This role will support sales engagements, solution development, customer workshops, proof-of-concepts, and technical enablement activities.
The ideal candidate combines strong networking fundamentals with hands-on architecture and design experience across WAN, enterprise edge, optical transport, data center interconnect, and network automation technologies. The TSA will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Professional Services, and partner organizations to architect end-to-end solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
3 Serve as a subject matter expert for HPE Networking routing and infrastructure solutions.
3 Design and validate scalable WAN, enterprise edge, and data center interconnect architectures.
3 Provide technical leadership during customer briefings, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and strategic design discussions.
3 Develop reference architectures, solution designs, deployment guidance, and networking best practices.
3 Partner with account teams to understand customer requirements and align technical solutions with business outcomes.
3 Support partner and field enablement through technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and training.
3 Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales to influence product direction and drive customer success.
3 Support competitive positioning and technical differentiation of HPE Networking solutions.
3 Support large-scale networking opportunities from initial discovery through technical validation and deployment planning.
3 Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for both technical and executive audiences.
Required Technical Expertise
WAN Routing & Network Infrastructure
3 Deep hands-on experience with Juniper MX, PTX, and ACX platforms.
3 Strong understanding of:
3 Service Provider WAN architectures
3 Enterprise WAN and edge routing
3 Carrier Ethernet services
3 Internet peering and transit designs
3 Network resiliency and high-availability architectures
Routing Protocols & Network Services

Access Networking

3 Experience with network automation frameworks and operational tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

3 Experience with network telemetry, observability, and network assurance platforms.
3 Familiarity with AI infrastructure networking requirements and high-performance data center architectures.
3 Knowledge of security integration technologies, network segmentation, and policy-based networking.
3 Experience working with service providers, telecommunications organizations, large enterprises, or strategic technology partners.
Professional Qualifications
3 8+ years of experience in networking architecture, systems engineering, consulting, or related technical roles.
3 Proven ability to engage directly with customer architects, network engineering teams, technical decision-makers, and executive stakeholders.
3 Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
3 Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
3 Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
3 Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, customer-facing environment.
3 Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

The successful candidate will be a technically curious, customer-oriented architect who can effectively bridge business objectives and networking technology. This individual will bring deep expertise in routing and transport networking, demonstrate strong architectural and problem-solving capabilities, and be comfortable engaging with audiences ranging from network engineers to executive stakeholders. The successful candidate will confidently guide customers through the design and adoption of modern, automated, resilient network infrastructures.

"The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
- United States of America: Annual Salary USD 199,000 - 411,500 in California
This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on-target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target-level sales compensation is 75%/25%."
