Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in facility design, construction environments, and their mechanical infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other relevant fields, or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll contribute to the design, construction, and operation of our cutting-edge data centers. Data Center Services (DCS) is accountable to safely deliver high-quality data center capacity and infrastructure solutions (including new builds & capital improvements) on time and within budget. We achieve this through a highly collaborative and transparent approach, leveraging our internal and external teams to support Google's mission of organizing the world's information.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities - Participate in project-specific design reviews at various stages (30%, 60%, 95%), focusing on constructability, adherence to Google standards, and value engineering.
- Provide on-site mechanical systems support to construction teams and contractors, ensuring work is executed with a focus on quality, speed, and adherence to Google's standards.
- Support the commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance requirements and operational standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical systems, providing support to data center operations teams throughout construction and post-occupancy.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and efficient project environment.
