Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- 10 years of experience in design, construction and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems, including air and water side systems.
- Experience in mechanical infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related fields.
- Professional engineering license.
- Experience in estimating, mechanical design, operation, and commissioning of mission critical data center mechanical equipment.
- Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of mechanical cooling plants, fire suppression systems, fuel oil systems, domestic water systems, and sanitary sewer systems in mission critical environment.
- Experience in the areas of design for production, structural beams/elements, and international building codes along with knowledge of mechanical engineering and design principles.
- Experience in designing modular building assemblies, with an understanding of mechanical tolerances and tolerance analysis.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to data center services and operations teams, defining Mechanical system design requirements for multiple data center projects from inception to completion.
- Develop, implement, and manage the mechanical designs at the site level, starting from the basis of design through to the issuance of construction documents for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
- Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information (RFI) and ensure alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.
- Work with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design (BOD) and coordinate system-level schematics with the EOR.
- Own and manage site-level power system issues during projects execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$248,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
