Data Center Critical Facility Program Lead
Position Responsibilities: - Manage daily operations of the data center and critical facility environment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Oversee electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generator, fire suppression, and monitoring systems supporting mission-critical operations
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair programs for critical infrastructure
- Monitor facility performance, alarms, capacity, and environmental conditions to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and maintenance personnel performing work in the facility
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and corporate facility standards
- Lead incident response efforts for power, cooling, environmental, and infrastructure events
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Develop and maintain facility documentation, including SOPs, emergency procedures, maintenance logs, and capacity plans
- Manage control processes for facility systems to reduce risk to critical operations
- Collaborate with IT, network, security, operations, and leadership teams to align facility performance with business needs
- Support growth planning, space planning, and infrastructure expansion for future capacity requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to resiliency, efficiency, and operational excellence
- Provide training and guidance to facilities staff and stakeholders on critical facility procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational standards
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): - 5+ years of experience managing data center and large IT systems
- 5+ years of experience with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and/or Mechanical Control Systems
- 5+ years of experience in support of electrical power systems (electrical system design, electrical system verification, troubleshooting and/or support of anomaly resolution)
- 5+ years of experience overseeing preventive maintenance, inspections, and service planning
- 5+ years of experience in Incident Management
- 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
- 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity (Emergency Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Business Resiliency, and/or Emergency Response)
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management
- 5+ years of experience with facility monitoring systems, alarms, and infrastructure reporting tools
- 5+ years of experience ensuring compliance with safety, reliability, and operational standards
- 5+ years of experience with AC power distribution and UPS systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Experience with data center certifications or industry frameworks
- Experience with capacity planning, space management, and infrastructure lifecycle planning
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex facility issues quickly and effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Experience leading operational improvement initiatives in a 24x7 critical environment
