Job OverviewThe Data Architect is responsible for translating business strategy and requirements into secure, scalable, supportable, and governed data solutions. This role emphasizes driving best practices and standardization across diverse data platforms and tools. The Data Architect partners with business leaders, data owners, data stewards, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data engineering, analytics engineering, and application teams to ensure that data solutions are aligned with business needs and meet requirements for quality, privacy, security, interoperability, performance, reliability, observability, and cost. The role provides architectural ownership throughout the solution lifecycle and helps establish the trusted data foundation required for analytics, self-service, automation, machine learning, and AI.
Data Architect Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, data integration, analytics engineering, or enterprise information management.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar data integration platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with APIs, orchestration, batch integration, incremental loading, CDC, file-based integration, and event or streaming patterns.
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric (preferred) or Databricks, including exposure to data lakehouses, data warehouses, Apache Spark, Delta tables, data pipelines, and orchestration.
- 2+ years designing cloud-based or hybrid data architectures
- 2+ years of experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, DataOps/DevOps, change management, and release management.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related discipline.
