Position's Overview
NTT DATA, Inc. currently seeks an experienced Data Solution Architect to join our team in a Remote capacity.
Client's Business Problem to Solve
Our client is looking to design and modernize scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies. This role will define end-to-end data architecture while providing technical leadership to engineering teams implementing the solution.
Position's General Duties and Tasks
In this role you will be responsible for:
Define end-to-end data solution architecture, patterns, standards, and technical roadmaps across ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, security, and integration.
Architect solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure, including SparkSQL, PySpark, Delta Tables, Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, Lakehouse, and data warehouse technologies.
Design scalable data models, Medallion/Lakehouse patterns, integration approaches, security controls, governance, and performance strategies.
Lead architecture reviews and translate business and non-functional requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation guidance.
Partner with Data Engineers to guide development of Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, PySpark/SparkSQL transformations, and Delta Tables.
Evaluate technology choices for scalability, reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and cost while mentoring engineering teams and ensuring architectural standards are followed.
Requirements for This Role Include
7+ years of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, cloud data, or related experience, including solution architecture responsibilities.
7+ years of Strong hands-on experience with SparkSQL, PySpark, Delta Tables, Pipelines, Fabric Notebooks, SQL, and modern Lakehouse/data warehouse architectures.
7+ years of Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Azure data platforms and enterprise data integration.
7+ years of Experience defining architecture standards, data models, security, governance, performance, and deployment patterns.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferences
Experience with OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse, Fabric Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Azure DevOps.
Experience with enterprise data governance, CI/CD, cloud cost optimization, and large-scale data platforms.
Microsoft Azure or Fabric architecture/data certifications.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be comfortable collaborating with business, product, data, engineering, QA, and other stakeholders in a distributed environment.
