Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior/Architect-level Data Architect with strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, healthcare provider claims analytics, and data modeling. The ideal candidate will help develop Population Health data products and analytics capabilities using healthcare claims data, while serving as a subject matter expert for Population Health, Risk Adjustment, Risk Capture, Quality Measures, Cost & Utilization Analytics, and Value-Based Care initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and enhance Population Health data products using Snowflake, dbt, and healthcare claims data.
• Develop scalable data solutions leveraging the Milliman MedInsight Transport Database.
• Build population cohorts supporting risk contracts, outcomes measurement, care gap identification, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Serve as the team's healthcare provider claims subject matter expert and establish best practices for future growth.
• Develop reusable dbt models, testing frameworks, transformations, and data pipelines.
• Design and implement scalable data models supporting healthcare analytics and Population Health use cases.
• Apply healthcare claims expertise to accelerate development of analytics products and data solutions.
• Collaborate with existing technical and organizational teams to strengthen healthcare data knowledge and delivery capabilities.
Required Qualifications
• Senior/Architect-level experience in data engineering and data architecture.
• Deep provider-side healthcare claims analytics expertise.
• Strong understanding of Population Health, Risk Adjustment, Risk Capture, Quality Measures including HEDIS and Stars, Cost & Utilization Analytics, and Value-Based Care programs.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building solutions in Snowflake.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including reusable models, testing frameworks, transformations, and data pipelines.
• Strong data modeling experience.
• Ability to translate healthcare business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Milliman MedInsight, particularly the Transport Database.
• Understanding of Milliman data structures and healthcare claims models.
• Experience applying Milliman data to Population Health use cases.
• Experience serving as a healthcare data subject matter expert within enterprise data and analytics teams.
