Job Description

CDM Smith is seeking a Data and AI Solution Manager to join our Business Technology team. At CDM Smith, we see the value of what AI can bring to our company, and we are actively adopting and implementing AI Agents and Generative AI technologies to boost productivity across our business. You will lead the development and execution of our enterprise AI platform. This position will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product users, technology teams and implementation partners to ensure our enterprise AI platform delivers measurable business value.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading the implementation of AI solutions, is a strategic thinker, has a strong delivery and technical background, is curious, and has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead cross functional delivery teams working on the enterprise AI platform.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meets business expectations.
  • Partner with Business Stakeholders to develop and execute the enterprise AI platform strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify and prioritize features and functionality based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness.
  • Work with Product Owners to translate business needs into prioritized backlogs and release plans.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand current challenges and future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect and cross functional delivery teams to ensure AI solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and responsible use.
  • Work with the Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to develop strategies for user adoption, change management, and training.
  • Establish and track KPIs related to adoption, cost, performance, and usage across the platform.
  • Present performance metrics and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Partner with governance teams to establish standards and best practices for AI enabled products.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and foster a culture of learning and development.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to lead cross functional delivery teams involving business, technology, and data stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, RAG, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
  • Strong program and project management skills with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop business cases, investment recommendations, roadmaps, and executive presentations.
  • Ability to build relationships and align stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Understands and has used cloud technologies such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of data management, data governance, and information architecture concepts.
  • Understands system integrations, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Product-oriented mindset with experience taking capabilities from idea to production.
  • Experience identifying, prioritizing, and delivering technology or AI use cases based on value and feasibility.
  • Strong understanding of agile product development and backlog prioritization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across an enterprise.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain AI concepts to executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing environment.
  • Strong understanding of organizational change management and technology adoption.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools to measure product performance.
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility within IT and across various business units.
  • Experience working with and directing offshore teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10 years of related with at least 2 years of those in a management or leadership capacity.


Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
