JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Data Analytics Transformation Lead within Trade & Working Capital, you will drive the data, analytics and AI transformation agenda for the Portfolio Management team. Working across business, technology, data and AI teams, you will define strategy, shape roadmaps and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision-making, operational efficiency and business outcomes.  This role combines data product ownership, business analysis, transformation leadership and technical expertise. You will establish trusted data foundations through strong governance, common business definitions and data quality standards, while enabling modern analytics, reporting and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Trade & Working Capital data, analytics and AI strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the business data dictionary, common business glossary and standardized KPI definitions.
  • Establish and drive adoption of data governance frameworks, data quality standards and common business definitions across stakeholders.
  • Act as the business owner for data, reporting and analytics initiatives, translating business needs into prioritized requirements, user stories and delivery plans.
  • Manage demand, product backlogs and delivery roadmaps, partnering closely with technology, data engineering, architecture and AI teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Drive the development of data products, curated datasets and reporting capabilities leveraging Databricks, Snowflake, Data Mesh and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Design and enhance dashboards, reporting and self-service analytics capabilities that support management decision-making.
  • Develop tactical analytics, automation and reporting solutions where strategic capabilities are not yet available.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, advanced analytics and automation to improve business processes, insights and decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships across business, finance, operations, risk, product and technology teams, driving alignment across competing priorities.
  • Provide delivery governance through established forums, ensuring appropriate management of risks, issues, dependencies, controls and audit requirements.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered with appropriate governance, transparency, resilience and regulatory compliance expectations.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience delivering data, analytics, product management or transformation initiatives within a complex financial services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, cloud data architectures and modern data platforms.
  • Experience with Data Mesh, data products, data governance and enterprise data management practices.
  • Proven experience establishing and managing data dictionaries, business glossaries, common data definitions and governance frameworks.
  • Strong business analysis and product management skills, including requirements gathering, roadmap development, backlog management and prioritization.
  • Experience designing and delivering dashboards, reporting and analytics solutions using modern BI platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data modelling and analytics engineering concepts, with the ability to develop tactical solutions where required.
  • Experience coordinating delivery across business, technology, data engineering and AI teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk, controls and governance requirements within a regulated environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Trade Finance, Working Capital, Treasury, Liquidity, Balance Sheet Management or Transaction Banking businesses.
  • Experience developing tactical solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks notebooks or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI, Generative AI, machine learning, agentic workflows and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience delivering large-scale data modernization, migration or transformation programs.
