Full Job Description
Position Summary

Responsible for providing internal and client facing analytic and data visualization solutions. Develop processes and techniques to extract data from a variety sources, to determine how best to analyze the data, and generate descriptive and statistical analysis on the data, including regression and classification analyses. Perform analysis related to a number of employment-specific project types, including wage & hour, pay equity, reduction-in-force, employment discrimination, and other litigation-related exposure or damages models. Locate the necessary data sources, extract and convert raw, sometimes discordant data into structured files ready for analysis, verify data integrity, run preliminary descriptive analyses, and finalize documents and data for production. Create dashboards and other data visualizations in Power BI to help drive insights and tell the story of the analysis. Develop and document processes and techniques used to extract, clean, and analyze data. Explain your work to others with varying degrees of technical experience. Daily interaction with attorneys, clients and users, including presenting findings and summaries of analyses as well collaborating to create data-driven solutions to improve their workflows or processes. Identify opportunities to leverage internal and external data sources or processes to create value for clients or the Firm - including marketing, pricing efficiencies, talent and retention. Leveraging data to assist clients with creating more efficient, productive workforces through predictive analytics. Remote work permitted.

Essential Functions

Also requires one (1) year of experience in the following:
  • Provide analytics support for a large organization with limited project direction;
  • Advanced Excel functions for analytical support;
  • Utilize statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (e.g. R, SAS, STATA, SPSS, etc.);
  • Manipulating, cleaning, analyzing, and refining data using a variety of tools including R, Python, Excel, and other software tools;
  • Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platform; and
  • Building data models, designing databases, data mining and using segmentation techniques, as well as familiarity with SQL queries.

Requirements

Main Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field and four (4) years of experience as a Data Analyst, Software Engineer, or a closely related occupation where required experience gained.

Alternate Education and Experience: Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field and two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst, Software Engineer, or a closely related occupation where required experience gained.
