What You Will Do:
- Supervise, develop, and mentor a team of Engineers specializing in a variety of programing languages, AI/ML, workflow development/logic, and big data management.
- Ensuring technical excellence, task execution, strategic vision and leadership.
- Collaborate with Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), HSE leadership, and CORE Durability to balance priorities and resources.
- Partner with peer Discipline Managers to ensure appropriate resource deployment, as well as with Discipline Leads to define and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent within HSE.
- Travel Requirement: 5% (Domestic and International).
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 12 years of engineering experience or 10 years of experience with an advanced degree
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master of Science degree.
- Strong logical understanding of workflow and code development along with AI/ML and broad understanding of structures, design and durability of hot section hardware.
- Previous supervisory experience and proficiency with the Thayer Leadership Operating Model.
- Task management skills, including resource planning, scheduling, and risk management.
- Experience leading teams to successfully meet technical and schedule requirements.
- Capability to work and lead in collaboration with other, non-collocated teams.
- Ability to mentor and develop members of the Methods Engineering discipline.
- Ability to work across functions, organizations, and all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles.

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)-Department Overview
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units. Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
