Overview

​​​​The Data Analytics Engineer supports the enterprise data and analytics platform for D365 and connected operational systems. The role will help build and maintain Microsoft Fabric, data pipelines, semantic models, Power BI reporting, operational analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. This role is well suited for an early-career professional with strong analytical and technical aptitude, curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn and grow into broader responsibility for enterprise data, analytics, and AI capabilities. This position is expected to collaborate across IT, business teams, implementation partners, and other stakeholders. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required to support planned system releases, cutovers, maintenance activities, and critical production incidents.​​​

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Microsoft Fabric lakehouses, warehouses, data pipelines, and semantic models under established architecture and governance standards
• Integrate D365, WMS, OTTO, EDI, manufacturing, IoT, and other enterprise data sources into the analytics platform
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for executive, finance, supply-chain, warehouse, and manufacturing users
• Support manufacturing KPIs including OEE, downtime, yield, production variance, and line performance
• Support warehouse and supply-chain analytics including inventory accuracy, pick rates, OTTO utilization, and dock-to-stock
• Develop reusable data models and help establish consistent business definitions and reporting standards
• Implement data-quality checks, reconciliation routines, exception handling, and monitoring
• Support role-based security and governance for enterprise reporting and analytics
• Develop and optimize SQL, DAX, semantic models, and data pipelines
• Integrate IoT and operational telemetry into Fabric for reporting, analytics, and future AI use cases
• Support AI, Copilot, and agent-based analytics solutions as the enterprise capability matures
• Partner with the ERP Application Developer and ERP Technical and Integration Lead to consume governed D365 APIs, entities, and integration services
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data or reporting issues before they impact business reporting
• Maintain data architecture, pipeline, report, and support documentation
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support during planned releases, cutovers, system maintenance, and critical production incidents

• Ability to coordinate with business stakeholders, external vendors, and systems integrators
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system, integration, and data issues across multiple platforms
• Ability to support after-hours ERP deployment, cutover, and production support activities as needed
• Ability to document technical processes, standards, and system architecture clearly
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions with long-term scalability, maintainability, and operational supportability in mind

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)

3+ years of data, analytics, BI, data engineering, or related experience (internship, academic project, or portfolio experience may be considered)

Power BI or another BI/data visualization platform experience

Foundational understanding of databases, data modeling, ETL/ELT, APIs, or data pipelines

Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly

Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure data services, or Dataverse

Python experience

Exposure to D365 F&SCM data structures or ERP data

Interest or exposure to Azure AI, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, machine learning, or intelligent automation

Exposure to IoT data, Azure IoT Hub, Event Hub, or operational telemetry

Manufacturing or supply-chain analytics experience

Microsoft certifications or demonstrated self-directed learning in data, analytics, or AI
